Resident Inspector - Water/Wastewater

Description of Duties: Responsibilities will include daily inspection of water or wastewater pipeline and pumping station construction for conformance with design plans/specifications and permits, identification of field conflicts/changes, tracking of daily quantities, review of pay estimates, maintaining field drawing mark-ups, and preparing daily reports.

Requirements: Minimum 5 years field experience in pipeline and pumping station construction. Experience with road restoration and dealing with county and local road departments a plus. Minimum High School Degree. Associates or Bachelors Degree a plus.

Roadway Construction Inspection

Description of Duties: Administration and inspection of single or multiple construction contracts on rural, municipal, urban, and interstate facilities: including minor bridges.

Requirements: Registration with the Florida State Board of Professional Engineers. Minimum two (2) years of responsible charge experience as a project engineer on a roadway construction inspection project.

Technical Assistant

Description of Duties: This is an entry level position. This individual will participate in technical assignments to develop competency and skill in the elementary aspects of materials sampling, testing, and inspection; and construction inspection. As part of a technical program, this individual may perform a variety of standard construction inspections duties, such as: inspecting earthwork removal and fill, checking cuts in fills for grade, compaction, and quality; conducting tests for proper embankment and compaction; and inspecting aggregates, concrete and asphalt.

Transportation Construction Inspector

Description of Duties: The Transportation Construction Inspector performs technical inspections of road or bridge construction to assure compliance with the contract documents.

Requirements: The candidate must meet any one of the following combinations of educational/experience requirements: an A.S.- CET with 2 years highway experience, a B.S. in CE or CET with 1 year highway experience, a PA/TN certified EIT with 1 year highway experience, PA/TN registered PE with 1 year highway experience, minimum NICET Level II - transportation engineering technology - subfield highway construction. Candidate must be knowledgeable of highway/bridge construction testing and inspection utilizing PennDOT/PTC (PA) or TNW/TDOT (TN) procedures.
